The church dedicated to Saint Peter the Apostle constitutes the religious focal point of the village of Radicofani, representing one of the most captivating examples of Romanesque-Gothic architecture in the Val d'Orcia. Unfortunately, it underwent significant restoration, especially in 1946, to repair the damages of the Second World War.

The stone facade, simple and austere, rises at the end of a staircase, characterized by a 13th-century portal surmounted by a bifora. On the left side stands the church of Santa Maria Assunta, while on the right is the Oratory of Corpus Domini, with the Church of Sant'Agata opposite.

The focal point of the church is the numerous glazed terracotta masterpieces by Andrea Della Robbia, dating back to the first half of the 1500s, including the Crucifixion with Saint Mary Magdalene, the Madonna with Child Enthroned and Saints Michael and Catherine, and the Madonna with Saint Anthony Abbot and Job. Inside, with a single nave and wooden truss ceiling, there are also Michelangelesque-style wooden statues and a polychrome wooden statue - Madonna with Child - attributed to Francesco di Valdambrino.

Near the church, in the Maccione garden, stands a statue depicting Ghino di Tacco, the famous gentleman bandit, adding an aura of legend and charm to the place.
